Cross Commute (Commute #86)
With the installation of the in-line brake levers and some calculations showing the low gear on my cross bike in the neighborhood of my single speed set up, I decided to ride the shoreline trail to work. I was nervous about being able to negotiate the rocky trail and the descent into city creek on the skinny tires, but it turned out to be pretty fun, and less punishing than I thought it would be sans suspension fork and fat tires.

Le Tour
It's getting harder these days to get interested in the tour. Besides the doping in the sport, the grand tours pale in comparison to the spring classics and cyclocross, and it's pretty much the same thing every year - sitting in, some action in the time trails and the mountains, then more sitting in before the last big day.
I think eventually most tour fans will move on the next big thing:
